Davis Street Espresso is easily one of my favorite spots. It's one of the more expensive shops but the quality is worth it. I usually order the avocado toast with egg—no tomato. The eggs are soft-boiled ("jelly eggs") and honestly, they used to gross me out. They’re half-cooked, half-gooey, but now I genuinely appreciate the craft behind them.
The vibes? Immaculate. Super cozy, super oaky—perfect for fall and winter. In spring, though, you have to sit outside. All the flowers are blooming and it’s just dreamy.
A few things to know: they don’t have Wi-Fi or alternative milks. This place is made for conversation and community, not working or studying. Coffee-wise, I usually go for drip, cold brew, or an iced vanilla latte (their house-made vanilla is so good). Today I tried the honey cappuccino with cinnamon, and honestly... it’s fine. Regular. I could make something similar at home.
If you're going, I’d recommend the cold brew (black, and in the bottle) or the iced vanilla latte. Also, you should try their seasonal jams!
Come here if: you want to play Bananagrams, have a private quiet time, or just catch up with friends (no laptops - no wifi or outlets)
My order:
Cappuccino ($5)
Honey ($1)
Cinnamon (0)
Toast ($5)
Avocado ($2)
Egg ($2)
Total = $15
My rating:
coffee: 5 (usually the coffee is 5/5 but today it was a 2)
Activity: 5
Music: 1 (they use a record player which is cool but it never matches the vibe)
Vibes: 5
Overal = 4
